Job Description :Function : IT Operations and Support - Solution Architecture / Presales Architecture, TOGAF, ZachmanResponsibilities :- Driving the strategy, technology roadmaps, key architectural decisions, and operating model across technology domains at Kmart.- Ensuring that delivery teams are clear on the architectural vision, trade-offs, risk and 'work to be done'.- Ensuring overall alignment and synergies of projects, programs and enterprise architecture.- Strategic Thinking: Leading and enabling the development of key strategies and solutions across the enterprise.- This includes the creation of strategies, principles, reference architectures and roadmaps that provide a common vision of the future state.- Alignment of Delivery to Enterprise Strategy and Target State: Leads the domain strategy and definition of target state architecture.- Leadership: Strong leader within the architecture leadership team in enabling architecture across technology, through process improvement, working groups, council and governance meetings, as well as all enterprise-wide technology strategy activities as needed from time to time.- Commercial: Providing commercial leadership, counsel and direction to senior stakeholders concerning technology Contributing to the development of relevant budgets and forecasts.Requirements :- Strong technical specification skills to translate business requirements into technical terms.- Proficient in architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.- Creates Business capability mappings.- Creates current, interim, and target state architectures.- Creates architecture roadmaps.- Identifies and manages technology risk.- Informs strategic direction and technology investment.- Senior architecture roles in large, complex organizations delivering across the enterprise, IT transformation projects or large IT modernisation programs.- Experience in cultivating innovative thinking that challenges the status quo and explores new ideas with technology and business teams.- Proven experience leading technology strategies as a principal architect, understanding and balancing business and technology requirements.- Experience in mentoring solution architects in the implementation of technical solutions that meet both business and IT requirements by utilizing architecture frameworks and patterns that are highly scalable, resilient, and repeatable.Traits :- Highly consultative.- Must demonstrate the ability to engage and influence business stakeholders and engineering equally.- Be an Advocate for the customer and drive a focus on the business outcome and the problems we are trying to solve.- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences.- Ability to bring ideas together creating an articulate and relevant point of view.- Strong time management and organization skills.- Actively promotes a collaborative and consultative team environment.- Ability to ask the right questions to capture business requirements and problems we are trying to solve to translate into technical specifications.
