Job Description :Skills : Automation testing, Cypress, Javascript or Typrescript, Appium, Ci/CD pipelinesKey Responsibilities :Test Planning and Strategy : - Collaborate with the cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans and strategies.- Define test objectives, scope, and timelines.Test Execution : - Perform various types of testing including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).- Execute test cases to ensure our high standards are maintained.Defect Management : - Take ownership of defects and ensuring reported defects contain details needed for all departments to understand, action and re-test where necessary.Automation :- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and increase our confidence with each release iteration.- Identify key areas worth focusing on for automated testing to increase test coverage.Documentation : - Create and maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports.- Document test results, findings, and recommendations for improvement.Quality Assurance Best Practices : - Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to software quality assurance.- Implement best practices to enhance the overall quality of our software products.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.- Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.- Quality-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.- Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Agile Tester (CAT), or similar are a plus.Technical Skills :- Hands-on experience with automated testing techniques and tools, Cypress being preferable.- Hands on experience in Appium- Basic understanding of TypeScript or other similar programming languages- Understanding of Git / GitHub for source control- Experience using Jira for defect management (ref:hirist.tech)
