We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated AWS Glue Architect to join our team and play a leading role in designing, developing, and managing our data lake architecture on AWS Glue.What We Expect From This Role :Experience :- 10-12 years of experience in software development and data engineering.- Proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing data lake solutions using AWS Glue.- (Preferred) Experience with data modeling methodologies and best practices.Technical Skills :- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, particularly AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, Athena, and related data lake components.- Expertise in Python and Spark for data processing and transformation.- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data.- Familiarity with data quality and data governance practices.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automating data lake deployments (a plus).- Experience with cloud security best practices for protecting data in the cloud (a plus).Soft Skills :- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (data scientists, data analysts, business stakeholders).- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.- A proactive and results-oriented approach to work.Additional Skills (Preferred) :- Experience acting as a Point of Contact (POC) for clients or internal teams, managing expectations and providing technical guidance.- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI (a plus).Responsibilities :- Design and architect scalable data lake solutions using AWS Glue.- Develop and implement data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and cleansing.- Define data schemas and data quality rules to ensure data consistency and accuracy.- Configure and manage AWS Glue crawlers, jobs, and workflows.- Monitor and optimize data lake performance and resource utilization.- Implement security best practices to protect data within the data lake.- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design solutions.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AWS Glue features and best practices.- Document data lake architecture and processes for future reference.(If applicable) Act as a technical point of contact for clients or internal teams, providing guidance and support.
