Position Overview :We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in automation testing, performance testing, and API testing, with specific expertise in WebSocket, JMeter, and LoadRunner. The Software Tester will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough testing and analysis.Key Responsibilities :Automation Testing :- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar.- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by designing robust automated test cases.- Integrate automated tests with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Performance Testing :- Conduct performance, load, and stress testing using JMeter and LoadRunner.- Analyze performance test results and provide detailed reports and recommendations for performance improvements.- Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to resolve issues.API Testing :- Test RESTful and SOAP APIs for functionality, reliability, performance, and security.- Create, execute, and maintain API test cases and automated scripts.- Validate data integrity and consistency across different APIs.WebSocket Testing :- Test WebSocket connections to ensure real-time communication features are functioning correctly.- Develop test cases for WebSocket-based functionalities and automate these tests where possible.Test Planning and Management :- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.- Document and track software defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.- Participate in test planning, test case design, and test case reviews.- Coordinate with development teams to understand application functionality and gather testing requirements.Collaboration and Communication :- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that testing activities align with project requirements.- Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project managers and team members.- Provide input and feedback on software design and implementation to enhance quality and user experience.Continuous Improvement :- Stay current with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.- Propose and implement improvements to the testing processes and infrastructure.- Mentor and guide junior testers and team members in testing methodologies and best practices.Required Skills and Qualifications :Technical Expertise :- Proven experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.- Strong experience in performance testing with JMeter and LoadRunner.- Proficiency in API testing with tools like Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent.- Hands-on experience with WebSocket testing and associated tools.
