Description:

Job Description :Qualifications :- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.- Experience with managing PostgreSQL databases in the cloud environment.- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services, particularly Cloud SQL, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.- Working knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker (a plus).- Experience with serverless functions (e.g., Cloud Functions) (a plus).- Experience with deploying and managing machine learning models using Vertex AI (a plus).- Excellent scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Responsibilities :- Manage and configure Cloud SQL instances for PostgreSQL on GCP to cater to the application's database needs.- Manage different database versions for each environment to support specific testing and functionality requirements.- Secure Cloud SQL instances with robust access controls (IAM), data encryption, and regular security patching.- Monitor database performance metrics like uptime, latency, and resource utilization using Cloud Monitoring.- Implement automated backups using Cloud SQL Backup for disaster recovery purposes.- Design and maintain a CI/CD pipeline that automates building, testing, and deployment processes for the application, considering Vercel deployment and potential backend logic on GCP.- Manage Vertex AI resources for deploying, monitoring, and versioning machine learning models.- Possess a working knowledge of GCP compute services, particularly Compute Engine, for potential troubleshooting and backend deployments.- Collaborate effectively with developers to understand application requirements and translate them into database configurations, migration strategies, and infrastructure solutions.- Maintain infrastructure documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.- Continuously monitor for potential issues and implement proactive measures to ensure application health and performance.- Identify and implement cost-optimization strategies for GCP services used.
