With deep heritage and expertise in retail - one of the world's most competitive markets, with a deluge of multi-dimensional data - dunnhumby today enables businesses all over the world, across industries, to be Customer First.dunnhumby employs nearly 2,500 experts in offices throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas working for transformative, iconic brands such as Tesco, Coca-Cola, Meijer, Procter & Gamble and Metro.Key Accountabilities :- Be accountable for the architecture, design and delivery of all Demand products facing Advertisers, Agencies and CPGs including but not limited to Sphere platform, Sphere Channels and Campaign and associated modules- Build and Deliver best in class retail media buying platform that enables advertisers and their agencies to easily access, discover, select, purchase and optimise multiple Tesco Media inventory types.- This includes surfacing the relevant audiences and placements for an advertiser to select based on their marketing objectives, ensuring efficient approval and optimisation workflows throughout the campaign lifecycle- Work collaboratively with the Head of Media Product - Demand to ensure close and effective working relationships between their product management teams and the product engineering teams.- Contribute to the vision for our media products and platforms and use that to inspire the product engineering teams to build the products in line with that vision.- Manage, coach, and develop a high performing product engineering team- Take accountability for non-functional outcomes including security, performance, availability, and reliability.- Our engineering teams operate with a DevOps mindset, running what they build This includes in and out-of-hours support- Manage the budgets and staffing plans to achieve the product vision and roadmaps and balance the unforeseen additional needs of the business against the planned spend on product development- Be data driven, define KPIs for the engineering organisation and implement measurement, analytics and reporting methods to track performance against budget and plan- You are also encouraged to contribute more widely across Technology as a senior engineering leader- Understand and adopt engineering trends, be agile and experimental and bring innovation to work everyday- Manage risk effectively, provide visible and consistent leadership on Values and Code of Business Conduct and act where you see issues. Protect our team by ensuring they have the skills and training neededWhat We Expect From You :- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any relevant subject- Extensive experience in managing, leading and evolving a large, technical globally distributed engineering team through the full agile product development lifecycle- Depth of professional software engineering experience and standard methodologies across the full software development process- Hands on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between- Experience with data stores (both relational and non-relational); micro-services architectures and knowledge of best practice in secure systems- Experience of running and supporting software in production with appropriate use of metrics to judge service health- Strong background in secure, reliable distributed systems at scale- Knowledge and experience of cloud technologies, (preferably GCP or Azure) and modern programming languages (Java 8+ ) Experience with both SQL/NoSQL databases and experience using Spring- Understanding of media standards like IAB. Viewability, etc - Experience in media products and technologies, vendor products, competitive products, emerging technology, etc- Creation of thought leadership (whitepapers, conference speaking) and passion to stay ahead on consumer, technology and industry trends around customer experience, data and insight- Understanding of collaboration in a matrix organization- Awareness of current technology standards, industry trends and new technologiesWhat You Can Expect From Us :- We won't just meet your expectations.
