Description:

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and maintain a self-service data platform for the usage of data engineers across different data product teams- Proactively look for ways to enhance operational functionality and reliability of the data platform- Explore ways to create better visibility on data quality and data products.- Design and build reusable components, frameworks, and libraries at scale to support analytics products (Python, Spark, SQL)- Build continuous integration and continuous deployment scripts that include testing and compliance to ensure high quality in production- You will be setting the standard to AWS data services and platform applications (key services : Lake formation, Athena, Glue, S3 )- Identify new opportunities to improve the developer experience of the data platform usersQualifications :- 4+ years data engineering, software engineering or DevOps experience- Strong skills in one or more programming languages related to data operations (Python or /and Terraform)- Hands-on experience with cloud environments such as (AWS alternatively Google Cloud/Azure)- Experience with IaaC such as CDK, Terraform or (Cloudformation,ARM ,Bicep, Ansible)- Hands-on experience with Big Data and NoSQL technologies like Spark- Hands-on experience with writing tests for Data pipelines and for Data quality- Hands-on experience with BI toolchain(Infra Deployment) (preferable with Power BI)- Hands-on experience deploying data products in production- Hands-on experience with Support tooling and creating automations- Hands-on experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tooling- Has a strong problem-solving and analytical mindsetNice to have:- Nice to have Experience in creating operational APIs- Nice to have - Experience with event-driven data designs (Kafka)- Nice to have Experience in containerized platforms such as Kubernetes- Nice to have - Experience with monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Logstash, Cloudwatch)Role (ref:hirist.tech)
