About the RoleThe transportation industry has no shortage of complex problems requiring creative solutions to scale efficiently. In this role, you will be instrumental in understanding the Mastery's proprietary software APIs to analyze API errors and identify root cause and resolution, update Client facing error guides for data errors, validate API features end to end in non- production environments, build software tools to support MasterMind data migrations in Client environments to enable Client Go Live activities, execute automation tests, API performance tests and generate reports.Our API Integrations and Testing team is an arm within Mastery's Engineering department focused on Mastery's Client facing External APIs integration support to triage and troubleshoot API issues and help resolve APIs defects in a timely manner to provide high quality software to our clients.As an API Integrations and Testing Support Engineer, you will be responsible to understand Mastery's software APIs, analyze External API defects, identify root cause to determine defect ownership and assignment, update error guide for clients data issues, create software tools to support MasterMind date migrations and perform end to end External API validations in various environments. Responsibilities :- Triage External API Defects and perform analysis as per established process to determine defect ownership and assign to the respective owning team- Validate other domain Defects as requested in various environments - Troubleshoot External API Defects and identify root cause and resolution to support Engineering teams for faster resolutions- Implement and maintain software tools to assist in External API client support activities like MasterMind Data migrations through External APIs to support Client Go Lives, publishing egress users data to event hub topics in clients environment as per request- Develop a strong understanding of MasterMind APIs- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support domain specific External API validations in various environments- Work collaboratively with Internal stakeholders through the phases of clients various implementations- Provide support to Product and Client Solutions teams to analyze and validate External APIs end to end specific to the unique technical requirements of each client- Collect Clients technical workflows and use cases and conduct analysis and verification- Maintain strong collaboration with established solutions teams to ensure the success of multiple client implementations running in parallel- Understand and become the subject matter expert on External API support activities- Manage dependencies and cross-team coordination- Identify ways to improve process and quality for a better Client experience- Practice follow-ups to ensure client needs are met- Debug API functionality to analyze issues for faster resolutionsQualifications :- 1 to 2 years of experience as a Support Engineer providing software support- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot External API issues- Proficiency in RESTful API Testing and development experience using Postman or similar tools- Experience with programming languages like Node.js, Typescript preferred to create and maintain API Support tools- Experience in Cloud infrastructure (Azure or similar infrastructure), Azure event hubs, Kafka or similar frameworks is nice to have- Experience in New Relic, GraphQL is a plus - Ability to work independently, meet objectives, lead priorities/projects with minimal direction- Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical knowledge,- Can apply effective interpersonal skills to provide service- Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders to understand and analyze issues to identify root cause and resolution- Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences- Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for user, client, and executive level audiences- Experience in logistics and supply chain field, including working with transportation management systems (TMS) a desire (ref:hirist.tech)
