Job Title : Functional QA EngineerCompany : Programming.com (Client: Samsung)Location : ChennaiExperience : 4 years or moreJob Description :We are seeking a highly skilled Functional QA Engineer to join our team for a client project with Samsung. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and writing test scenarios for specific features, ensuring test coverage, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.Responsibilities :- Design and write test scenarios for assigned features/modules.- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and clarify requirements.- Ensure 100% test coverage for owned features/modules and continuously improve based on integrated systems.- Track bugs/clarifications until production release without regression leakage.- Establish traceability for requirements during test design and planning.- Coordinate with automation team to increase coverage based on identified bugs during test cycles.- Ensure zero defect leakages.- Attend Scrum or Stand-up meetings and articulate identified bugs to all stakeholders in the team.Job Requirements :- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.- Passion for quality and testing.- Expert knowledge of QA concepts, methodology, and industry-standard testing and bug tracking tools.- 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in writing test cases, test data preparation, test execution, and design.- Experience in implementing and maintaining high-quality test automation is a plus.- Knowledge of professional software engineering release process.- Fair knowledge in at least one modern programming language.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Basic knowledge in SQL.- Understanding of how web technology works and basic understanding of JavaScript is a plus.- Exposure to any one Bug tracking tool and Test case management tool.Additional Requirements :- At least 3 years of experience in Manual API testing.- 1 year of experience in Functional testing.- Experience as a Release Manager.
