Avalara - Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack DevelopmentJob Description :What Youll Do (Text Only) : Avalara is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will help us to build and maintain world class cloud based solutions. You'll be expected to deliver high quality, well-tested UI features, integrations with backend systems, and practice industry best practices. You will join a team of seasoned engineers responsible for delivering SaaS solutions in an Agile environment. - Work closely with Scrum team members to plan, design, develop and test cloud based software applications - Participate as a scrum member, estimating and evaluating existing stories, as well as writing new stories - Be a key participant in creating a Quality First, Zero Defects culture. Promote Shift Left approach - Develop and deliver enhancements to the existing code base by crafting well-documented, modular, and testable code - Troubleshoot, diagnose and identify failing systems through the use of instrumentation - Active contribution across all phases of the SDLC (planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support) - Build/Enhance CI/CD pipelines - Be part of innovation culture and find ways to optimize processes and services - A strong customer focus and desire to improve our customers' lives.What You'll Need to be Successful (Text Only) :- Bachelor/master's degree in computer science or equivalent - Excellent communication skills(Must have) - 4-7 years of experience in a software developer role Must have Technical Skills - Experience in building backend (Node JS/C# .NET/Java). - Excellent logical and problem solvingskills. - Any RelationalDatabase(Postgrespreferred), SQL. - REST API, web applications and services development. - Experience in working in an Agile team. - Experience in engineering for highly available and fault tolerant software in aSaaS cloud environment- AWS, GCP or Azure Nice to have skills - CI/CD (Gitlabpreferred) - Knowledge of GraphQL - Knowledge with monitoring and alerting tools as well as analysing system metrics for performance and reliability tuning. - Knowledge of TypeScript, Angular/React.
