INR 3,154,700.00/Yr. Overview Avalara is seeking an experienced and qualified Manager of HCM Operations, focused on supporting the core areas of our HRIS Technology like Workday and iCIMS. A day in the life : Each day, you'll engage with your global People & Culture (HR) & Finance stakeholders ranging from Benefits and Compensation to Payroll and HR Operations. As a trusted partner, you'll use your expertise to design great technology solutions and make recommendations to your stakeholders.As a dynamic people leader, you'll lead your team through the configuration, testing, and deployment of solutions on the Workday and iCIMS platforms, while helping them learn and grow their individual careers. As an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to design new solutions and troubleshoot problems to ensure that our platforms are running optimally. Finally, as an ethical Avalarian, you'll operate with integrity and use your elevated privilege with care. - Lead the execution of operational Workday HCM activities including (but not limited to) : post-production maintenance and support, enhancements & release management, troubleshooting and defect resolution, daily/monthly/yearly events management. - Lead and operationalize recurring technology events like Annual Open Enrollment, Annual Performance, and Annual Compensation (Merit/Bonus) in partnership with appropriate stakeholders. - Oversee post-production activities on the Workday and iCIMS platforms like defect troubleshooting and resolution, small enhancements including workflow and business process changes, security administration, system testing, and deployment support. - Define and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreement (SLA) baselines and metrics - Develop and operationalize applicable reporting and analytics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of end-to-end processes - Drive continuous improvement and automation of operational activities to improve effectiveness and efficiency - Determine which opportunities to pursue with a focus on reducing process costs, increasing efficiency, enhancing the user experience and maximizing returns on investment - Create a prioritized, metric-driven pipeline of technology improvements and opportunities with associated governance - Serve as liaison between technical and business resources - Safely and ethically handle sensitive data by adhering to all data handling standards and regulations - Lead and manage a team of Workday experts and mentor junior members of the team Minimum Qualifications : - Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a related field (Human Resource, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, etc.) - 8+ years working in a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) environment with Workday, iCIMS, and/or WorkRamp. - 3+ years with multiple Workday modules including HCM, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Payroll - 3+ years of experience in direct people leadership- Experience with leading at least 2 full life cycle Workday HCM implementations - Demonstrated strong technical aptitude and capabilities, particularly in an HRIS environment with applications like Workday, iCIMS, and/or WorkRamp - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications : - Workday PRO Certification - Functional knowledge in domains like HR, Payroll, & Recruiting - Software experience, preferably in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment At Avalara, we believe that successful employees demonstrate these Success Traits, which are drawn from our DNA and discussions about our most successful new hires and employees.Therefore, the ideal candidate for Vice President of Business Technology will have these traits : - Ownership : Taking full accountability for the success and growth of the HCM Operations team, ensuring successful and efficient delivery of all solutions.
