Job Description :Urgent Hiring for Senior Windows AdministratorExperience : 8-12 yearsLocation : RemoteQualifications :The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, articulate, and possess the following qualifications :- Microsoft Operating Systems Proficiency : Experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, or newer. Familiarity with related software technologies.- Administrative Tools and Automation : Proven history of using administrative tools and automating routine tasks.- PowerShell Scripting Expertise : Writing scripts for monitoring systems, and critical applications, and integrating them into a centralized event console.- Work Experience : X years as a Windows Server Administrator, managing 50+ server environments using server-class hardware.- Windows System Knowledge : Active Directory & Domain architecture, NTFS permissions, DNS, OS security, systems patching, MS Office suite, ITSM applications, systems monitoring software.- VMWare Environment Management : Extensive experience deploying and managing VMWare environments.- Scripting Skills : Proficiency in batch, PowerShell, and/or VB.- Multi-server/Tenant Environment Expertise : Understanding of clustering technologies and strategies.- Remote Support Experience : Providing support for remotely connected customers and associated technologies (e.g., Citrix, Cisco).- Additional Technical Skills : Web servers, backup software, NAS and/or SAN technologies, load balancers, virtual environments.Additional Skillsets and Responsibilities :- Automated Patching Process : Assist in developing and maintaining processes for automated patching of small to medium-sized Windows environments.- OS Version Compliance : Assist in ensuring all customer and corporate systems run supported Operating System versions.- VM Template Management : Assist in managing Windows virtual machine templates.- Internal Systems Support : Assist with internal Windows systems management and support.- VM Lifecycle Management : Build, deploy, support, and maintain Windows virtual machines as requested by customers.- Active Directory Deployment and Support : Deploy, maintain, and support Windows Active Directory environments as requested by customers, including DNS, DHCP, DFS, failover clusters, etc.- Basic Support for Microsoft SQL Servers : Deploy, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL servers at a base level; database administration skills are not required but would be helpful in supporting customers.- License Management : Assist in maintaining accurate licensing counts of Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems, including design and operation of Key Management Systems (KMS) licensing.Desired Skills (not mandatory) :- Hyper-V Technologies Knowledge- Veeam Knowledge- VMWare vCenter, vCloud Director, and vCloud Availability Knowledge (VCP or higher)- Azure Active Directory Knowledge- Microsoft Certified (MCSA, MCSE, etc)Responsibilities :- System Monitoring and Maintenance : Overseeing systems in 24x7 highly available production environments.- Communication and Collaboration Skills : Working individually, within a team, with other groups, and customers.- Technical Troubleshooting : Independent troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and isolation of technical issues.- Ownership and Commitment : Taking ownership of issue analysis and resolution efforts, committing to resolving technical issues.- Triage and Support : Triaging for production, QA, and development environments, supporting process improvements.- Project Work : Involvement in system initiatives and new projects.- Engagement with External Vendors/Consultants : Working with external parties to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution.- Error Resolution and Escalation : Resolving errors and alarms quickly, providing timely escalation.- On-Call Duties : Full-time position with on-call duties related to event collection and system status management.
