The Opportunity : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SAP ABAP Consultant to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our SAP system using ABAP programming language. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled ABAP professional to contribute to critical business processes and drive continuous improvement within our SAP landscape.Responsibilities : ABAP Development : - Analyze and translate business requirements into efficient and maintainable ABAP programs.- Develop and implement complex ABAP objects, including function modules, reports, user exits, and workflows.- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Integration and Interfaces : - Configure and maintain interfaces between SAP and other systems using tools like Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI) and ALE/EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).- Develop custom solutions to integrate SAP with external applications and data sources.Support and Maintenance : - Provide ongoing support for existing ABAP applications, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues effectively.- Perform system configuration and data management tasks to optimize SAP functionality.- Participate in system upgrades and ensure smooth implementation of new functionalities.Technical Expertise : - Possess a strong understanding of ABAP data structures, control flow statements, and object-oriented programming concepts.- Utilize debugging tools to identify and resolve ABAP program errors efficiently.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ABAP language and SAP technologies.Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).- 6-8 years of experience working as an ABAP Consultant in a live SAP environment.- Proven experience in developing and maintaining complex ABAP programs.- Strong understanding of SAP data structures, control flow, and object-oriented concepts.- Experience with SAP ABAP Workbench tools (SE38, SE80, etc.) and debugging techniques.- Familiarity with SAP interfaces (BAPI, ALE/EDI) and integration concepts (a plus).- Experience with SAP system configuration and administration tasks (a plus).- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
