Description:
Job Description :As part of the Avalara Content Sourcing engineering team, you will be part of a high performing team focused on automated sourcing of tax content from across the web and present it in an easy to understand form for the tax researchers at Avalara. This position is for someone who strives for developing solutions with niche technologies to achieve high quality of automations to source tax content with less manual effort and demonstrate efficiency gains to our customers.- Write and modify application programming code, client/internal software applications. - Identify information and data required for programming while working with your mentor. - Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. - Test, analyze, and verify accuracy of programming code. - Work with development teams and product managers to ideate on high performance software solutions. - Develop and manage well-functioning databases, APIs and applications. Qualifications :- Computer science degree or equivalent experience with 1-2 years of software development experience in production environments. - Skills in creating backend components using any of Python, Java, .net/C#, Go lang. - Knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL/Relational Databases. - Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3. - A high level of curiosity about things not known and willingness to learn. - Good analytical, design and debugging skills.
