Role : System EngineerJob Overview :We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer I with expertise in Chef and Windows to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions using Chef for our Windows-based infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of Windows systems administration, configuration management principles, and experience in scripting and automation. Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.- 5+ years of Minimum experience in systems engineering or administration, with a focus on Windows-based environments.- Proficiency in Chef configuration management tool, including writing cookbooks, recipes, and using Chef server.- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Ruby, or other scripting languages.- Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.- Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and collaboration skills. Good to have :- Chef certification (e.g., Chef Basic Fluency Badge, Chef Certified Developer).- Experience with other automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell DSC.- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker.- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
