About the Role :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBM Storage Administrator to join our team in Gurugram/Delhi NCR. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, optimization, and support of our IBM storage infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.Responsibilities :Storage Infrastructure Management :- Implement, configure, and manage IBM storage systems (SAN, NAS, Tape Libraries) using tools like IBM Spectrum Control and DS CLI.- Manage storage pools, volumes, snapshots, and replication for efficient data storage and protection.- Monitor storage performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities to ensure efficient resource utilization.- Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize storage system health and performance.Storage Security and Compliance :- Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard data stored on IBM storage systems.- Configure access control lists (ACLs) and user permissions for secure storage access.- Ensure compliance with relevant data security regulations and internal policies.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity :- Participate in disaster recovery planning activities for IBM storage systems.- Implement and test backup and recovery solutions to ensure data availability in case of outages.- Ensure efficient restoration of data in case of incidents.Technical Support and Collaboration :- Troubleshoot storage-related issues and provide technical support to internal users.- Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., servers, network) to resolve storage-related problems effectively.- Document storage configurations and procedures for future reference and knowledge transfer.Skills and Experience :- 8+ years of experience in storage administration with a strong focus on IBM storage solutions.- Proven experience in implementing, configuring, and managing IBM storage systems (SAN, NAS, Tape Libraries) using tools like IBM Spectrum Control and DS CLI.- In-depth knowledge of storage concepts like storage pools, volumes, snapshots, replication, and data tiering.- Understanding of storage performance metrics and ability to identify optimization opportunities.- Experience with storage security best practices and access control mechanisms.- Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup concepts for storage systems.- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving storage-related issues.- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
