The Role As a Release Manager you are responsible for the continuous delivery of application releases supporting business critical services.. You are able to leverage product and program management practices to define and lead innovative initiatives focused on product availability, customer experience, application ownership and continuous delivery. You use agile methodologies to plan, coordinate, and lead deployments of major product releases, feature releases and patches in a SaaS environment. How You Will Make an Impact: You are a Multiplier and constantly look for ways to make other teams successful. You understand that the success and productivity of the hundreds of scrum teams you interact with is critical to enabling continuous change. You combine customer empathy and your passion for moving fast to deliver frequent, high quality releases that benefit our customers and partners and motivate our engineers. You are a bold leader who is visionary, makes data-informed decisions, takes calculated risks and is effective at influencing all levels of stakeholders. You are able to communicate clearly to everyone from Executives to individual contributors. You love working with customers and partners; every decision you make is with Customer Trust in mind. You seek opportunities to be mentored and to mentor others. You have a beginners mindset and an insatiable desire to learn. You leverage the analytical, organisational, and interpersonal skills that you learned through your bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or another interesting field to lead cross-functional teams and deliver [r]evolutionary solutions. What You Bring to the Team: Technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company. Experience leading cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation. Has to work with stakeholders to ensure timely releases Strong at change control and change mgmt Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies. Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives, and technical, and non-technical team members. Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment. Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program. Exposure to data analytics and reporting is definitely advantageous (any CRM reporting tool) Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills Ability to successfully partner with all functions across the entire company. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Requirements: Familiar with Service Ownership and DevOps best practices. Experience managing SaaS Cloud Application releases. Familiarity with compliance and security standards, policies, and risk management. Public cloud infrastructure knowledge. Comfortable bending between the tactical and strategic. Ability to manage/juggle multiple priorities without loss of efficiency.
