Job Description :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cypress Web QA Engineer to join our growing QA team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our web applications by leveraging your expertise in Cypress testing frameworks, automation best practices, and web development principles. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites that deliver comprehensive test coverage and contribute to a high-quality user experience.Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Cypress.io for web application functionalities.- Write clean, maintainable, and reusable Cypress test code adhering to best practices.- Utilize Page Object Model (POM) design patterns for efficient test organization and reusability.- Implement various testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to achieve comprehensive test coverage.- Debug and troubleshoot test failures to identify and report application defects.- Collaborate with developers to understand application functionality and translate requirements into testable scenarios.- Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of test code.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Cypress testing frameworks and best practices.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA automation framework and testing processes.- Participate in exploratory testing sessions to identify potential issues beyond automated test coverage (a plus).- Document test cases and procedures clearly and concisely for future reference and maintenance.- Work effectively with cross-functional teams (development, product management) to deliver high-quality web applications. Qualifications :- 6-8 years of experience in web application testing with a strong focus on automation frameworks.- In-depth knowledge of Cypress testing framework, its functionalities, and best practices.- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with testing libraries/frameworks (Mocha, Chai) (a plus).- Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM) for better test case creation.- Experience with API testing using Cypress or integration with other testing tools (a plus).- Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium (a plus) demonstrates adaptability.- Strong understanding of web application testing principles and methodologies (e.g., BDD, Agile).- Experience with debugging tools and techniques for web applications.- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.- A passion for quality and a proactive approach to web application testing.
