Description:
Job Description :- Work with internal and external customers to understand current and future requirements and develop scalable and cost efficient solutions - Perform complex engineering, design, implementation and maintenance tasks on the LAN and/or WAN - Support existing client hardware and software solutions; work within our team environment - Make recommendations to management on desirable additions and development - Assume responsibility for key client networks, accountable for maintenance and improvement - Assist troubleshooting of complex network problems and act as a high-level escalation point for Network Engineers Profile :Prior experience working in NOC or Managed Services environment.- Sound diagnostic capabilities and basic fault resolution- Experience identifying and resolving critical faults by replacing the HW sub-components/ components- Good understanding of layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing- Understanding of WAN technologies, supporting circuits including ADSL, FTTC, EFM, 3G/4G, and Ethernet.- Prior use of SNMP based monitoring systems- Experience with ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, and Change management- Experience of configuration management tooling such as NMS and CISCO prime- Basic understanding and supporting DNS and DHCP related issues.- Broadband core infrastructure including use of RADIUS- VPN services including, IPSEC, SSL, L2TP (including v3) and GRE- Dynamic routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF- Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Cisco Access PointsKey skills required : (in the order of priority)Skills :- Hands-on experience working with Cisco Networking Hardware, preferably routers and switches.- Knowledge in Load Balancing Concepts.- Hands-on experience working in an Enterprise NOC environment.- Proactive monitoring and remotely managing site LAN/ WAN infrastructure services.- Expertise operating Windows/ Linux computer systems and network support tools.- Network Security, understanding RADIUS/ TACACS enabled security systems. - Valid CCNA/ CCNP (R&S), Certification would be preferred.- Extensive experience of NOC Service/ Maintenance Desk.- Experience providing L1-3 support to various aspects in Networking (ref:hirist.tech)
