We want our legacy to be the leaders we produce for the industry.Job Description : Director of Product Engineering (DPE) will utilize strong management and technical competencies to set objectives and develop strategies for the evolution of global product platform. As a creative, pragmatic, and collaborative engineering leader, he/she will help us deliver the product roadmap. DPE will work with cross-functional teams, subordinate level managers and engineering professionals to evolve and develop the product, user experience and technical capabilities through customer-centric processes and by leading with vision. DPE will lead the team to develop enhancements to existing products, by maintaining focus on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market.Responsibilities : - Lead, direct, and manage the software design and development team for a global product- Manage end-to-end design and development of products technology platform- Ensure successful delivery of features, meet specifications, and create little to no operational support overhead.- Collaborate with line of business head and stakeholders, consistently and effectively communicate across the organization and up the leadership chain.- Drive initiatives for operational improvement and ensure team members do the same.- Establish and monitor metrics of technical and business importance that are generated within the assigned system and/or functional area.- Mentor managers and other senior team members.- Analyses complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions for improving the product platform.- Has demonstrated expertise in designing, developing, and delivering front-end, middleware, and back-end solutions using Angular, React JS, Python, PHP Laravel, NodeJS, PostgreSQL and MySQL.- Has demonstrated expertise in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to Agile methodologies, including Sprint/Scrum and Kanban.- Has demonstrated expertise in project management, leading global teams for design, development, report/dashboard deliverables, and migration from development to testing to production.Desired Candidate Profile : - Senior Manager/Director, have 15+ years of experience in the technology sector- 10+ years of hands-on experience working in software architecture, design, development, and delivery of technology-based products- Experience of working in a product engineering manager/product engineering head capacity is a must- Experience across multiple computing platform and technologies with the ability to influence technology direction at the enterprise level is a must- Experience with solutioning architecture of B2B ,B2C Or SaaS based applications is a must- Experience with the Life Science Or Pharma Industry will be preferred. - Flexible, energetic, confident, and demonstrating the right attitude- Business and solution oriented- Able to work in a fast-paced, global, multi-project environment with ability to work with global teams- Able to communicate with all levels of the organization- Excellent communication skills and good English, both verbal and written is a mustQualifications : B. Tech or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related fieldTech Stack Experience : Hands-on expertise in design, development and delivery of products using the following technologies is a plus : - Python (mandatory)- PHP Laravel- NodeJS- React JS - Angular (mandatory)- PostgreSQL (mandatory)- MySQL- Cloud Private, Public (AWS, Azure) & Hybrid- Azure Develops (ref:hirist.tech)
