Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with the Oracle platform, with a strong focus on designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining business-critical applications. They will play a key role in analyzing and manipulating data, building reports, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Oracle database environment.Responsibilities :Application Development and Maintenance :- Design, develop, implement, support, and maintain business-critical software applications on the Oracle platform.- Analyze client requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development.- Implement database logic using PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.- Utilize SQL for efficient data manipulation and retrieval.Data Management and Reporting :- Analyze and manipulate data to support building new reports and modifying existing reports.- Write efficient and maintainable SQL queries to extract and transform data.- Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools is a plus (but not required).Quality Assurance and Optimization :- Perform code reviews and unit testing of SQL and PL/SQL code to ensure quality and functionality.- Apply good coding practices and adhere to coding standards for maintainability and readability.- Identify and implement performance tuning techniques for optimizing database queries and overall system performance.Database Administration (Preferred) :- Experience with database administration tasks such as user management, security, backups, and recovery procedures is a plus.Skills and Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of total experience in database development, with at least 5 years specifically focused on the Oracle platform.- Excellent knowledge of Oracle 11g or above, including its architecture, features, and functionalities.- Strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL programming languages.- Experience with SQL Loader for data import and export is a plus.- Ability to analyze and debug complex database issues effectively.- Strong understanding of data validation techniques for data integrity.- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.- Effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines (ref:hirist.tech)
