Job Description:As a Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your responsibilities will encompass designing and executing test cases, analyzing results, testing APIs, documenting testing phases, and collaborating closely with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Design/Execute Test Cases:- Develop comprehensive test cases for both manual and automated testing.- Ensure compatibility across various browsers and devices to validate functionality, responsiveness, and layout consistency.Test REST APIs:- Utilize Postman to test RESTful APIs and automation scripts to enhance efficiency and coverage.- Verify API functionality, performance, and security parameters.Review System Specifications:- Analyze system requirements and specifications to ensure thorough test coverage.- Participate in requirement review sessions to clarify ambiguities and align testing efforts.Create Testing Logs:- Maintain detailed logs documenting testing phases, test results, and identified defects.- Use test management tools to track and manage testing activities.Report Bugs and Errors:- Report discovered defects promptly to development teams using established bug tracking systems.- Provide clear and concise information to assist in issue resolution.Manage Bug and Support Queues:- Monitor and prioritize bug queues to effectively manage internal customer support requests.- Ensure timely resolution of reported issues to maintain product quality and user satisfaction.Troubleshoot Issues:- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose software issues.- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify root causes and implement Testing:- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to validate software functionality and performance in production environments.- Perform regression testing to ensure new features do not adversely impact existing functionality.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:- Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and support.- Ensure quality assurance practices are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.Required Skills and Qualifications:- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.- Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, both manually and through automation.- Strong understanding of REST APIs and experience using tools like Postman.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.- Effective communication skills to report issues and interact with diverse stakeholders.Preferred Additional Skills:- Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g, Selenium, TestNG).- Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g, Jenkins).- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (e.g, Scrum, Kanban).This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
