Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with at least 3 years of leadership experience. You will be responsible for building, inspiring, and leading a high-performing engineering team to deliver innovative and high-quality software solutions.Responsibilities:Team Leadership and Management:- Build, lead, and motivate a team of talented software engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment with a strong focus on continuous learning and growth.- Provide clear direction, delegate tasks effectively, and offer guidance and mentorship to team members.- Conduct performance reviews and facilitate career development opportunities for your team.Software Development Expertise:- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems.- Possess strong expertise in major programming languages (e.g, Groovy, Golang, Java).- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices to maintain high-quality code.CI/CD Pipeline Management:- Implement and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.- Demonstrate a strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies and best practices.- Be familiar with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube.Technical Skills and Knowledge (Preferred):- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.- Proven ability to design and architect complex software systems.- Experience working with public cloud platforms (e.g, AWS, GCP) is a plus.- Familiarity with networking, storage, logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting tools.Qualifications:- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development.- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing engineering teams.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects effectively, and meet deadlines.- Passion for building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of innovation (ref:hirist.tech)
