ITAM : Discovery Lead Leaders to enable sustainability of integration and discovery processes including ongoing monitoring for quality and remediation of issues. Discovery includes ServiceNow, Flexera and/or one of the 12 existing core ITAM integrations.Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our team as a ITAM Discovery and Integration Lead. This role will primarily focus on managing the discovery process within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for on-premises infrastructure while also integrating discovered data with other interfaces and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CMDB management, discovery tools, integration techniques, and IT infrastructure. Leaders to enable sustainability of integration and discovery processes including ongoing monitoring for quality and remediation of issues. Discovery includes ServiceNow, Flexera and/or one of the 12 existing core ITAM integrations.Key Responsibilities : 1. Discovery Strategy Development : - Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope and objectives of the on-premises discovery process within the CMDB.- Lead the Development and maintain a comprehensive discovery strategy, including schedules, methodologies, and procedures tailored to on-premises infrastructure.2. Discovery Tool Configuration : - Configure and maintain discovery tools, such as ServiceNow Discovery or third-party discovery solutions, to scan and collect data from on-premises assets.- Define discovery schedules, credentials, probes, and filters to ensure accurate and comprehensive identification of configuration items (CIs) within the CMDB.3. CI Identification and Population : - Execute discovery scans to identify and populate CIs related to on-premises infrastructure components, including servers, network devices, storage systems, and applications.- Validate and reconcile discovered CIs with existing CMDB data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.4. Integration with Other Interfaces : - Develop integration workflows and scripts to synchronize discovered CMDB data with other interfaces and systems, such as asset management, service desk, and change management tools.- Implement data transformation and mapping rules to facilitate seamless data exchange between the CMDB and external systems.5. Data Quality Assurance : - Conduct regular audits and reviews of discovered CI data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or missing information.- Implement data quality checks and validation rules to maintain data integrity and reliability within the CMDB.6. Documentation and Reporting : - Document discovery configurations, integration workflows, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and training efforts.- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into the results of the on-premises discovery process and integration activities, including metrics related to CI population, accuracy, and compliance.Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 10+ years of experience in CMDB management, with a focus on discovery processes for on-premises infrastructure and integration with other interfaces.- Certification in CMDB (e.g., ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - Discovery) is preferred- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, network devices, storage systems, and applications.- Experience with discovery tools, such as ServiceNow Discovery, BMC Discovery, or similar solutions.- Proficiency in configuring and maintaining discovery tool settings, schedules, and credentials.- Experience with integration techniques, such as web services, APIs, and middleware platforms.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholde (ref:hirist.tech)
