Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kubernetes Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a central role in managing, operating, and optimizing our containerized applications deployed on Kubernetes. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our critical applications.Responsibilities:- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments.- Implement and configure Kubernetes resources (Deployments, Pods, Services, Ingress, etc.) for containerized applications.- Configure and manage container registries for secure image storage and distribution.- Automate container deployments and scaling using tools like Helm or Kustomize.- Implement and maintain cluster security configurations and access control mechanisms (RBAC).- Monitor Kubernetes cluster health and performance using monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).- Troubleshoot and debug Kubernetes-related issues, including pod failures and cluster outages.- Perform cluster upgrades and rollbacks while maintaining application uptime.- Optimize cluster resource utilization for cost-efficiency and performance.- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and container security.- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and SRE teams to ensure seamless application deployments and operations on Kubernetes.- Document Kubernetes configurations, best practices, and operational procedures.Technical Skills (Required):- 4-6 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes in production.- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, components, and functionalities.- Expertise in configuration management tools for Kubernetes (e.g, kubectl, YAML).- Experience with container orchestration concepts like deployments, scaling, service discovery, and load balancing.- Experience with container registries (e.g, Docker Hub, private registries).- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and their integration with Kubernetes deployments.- Experience with Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and troubleshooting techniques.- Strong understanding of Linux system administration and container security principles.- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g, Bash, Python) for automation tasks.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.Educational Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) (ref:hirist.tech)
