Job Summary : As a Global Platform Engineering Solutions Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for transforming visions into reality through automation, while in the comfort of your own home! You will work alongside automation peers and SMEs within the global Platform Engineering Solutions team to develop automation pipelines, scripts, reports, and other actions as required. You are a self-starter, motivated by continuous learning and security first mindset. You stay abreast of industry trends in cloud, end user computing, and DevOps. You have a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions and driven to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. You have exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team and you will mentor other team members. Key Responsibility : As an Automation Engineer in our global Platform Engineering Solutions team, you will be an integral part of our global efforts. You will :- Be a part of the Global Platform Engineering team focused heavily on enabling efforts on-premises and on public cloud, IAC, platform automation & support- Provide technical expertise to infrastructure and delivery teams to develop, build, configure, deploy, and support delivery teams in creating IT solutions related to infrastructure deployments, software distribution, image management in the cloud and on-premises.- Collaborate with SMEs, developers, and architects, to establish and ensure new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices & supportability.- Create new automation requests and maintain existing code bases.- Apply experience of DevOps/SRE best practices to enable highly available & reliable systems and processes. Education and specific Training : Any career related with IT. Work experience :- 6+ years experience with designing, building, and supporting Windows/Linux systems architecture including a working understand of Networking, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, firewalls.- 4+ years experience hands-on experience engineering, deploying, and managing pipelines in an enterprise scale environment utilizing Azure DevOps.- 3+ years experience with the commonly used managed services in cloud-native environments (Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP) with a working knowledge of their CLIs and APIs.- 5+ years experience with on-premises hypervisors AOS(preferred) and ESXi with a working knowledge of associated CLIs and APIs.- +5 years experience with automation management tooling for software distribution, image management, desired state and tools such as SCCM, Ivanti, Chocolatey, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, et.al.- +5 years experience of expert proficiency with scripting to automate tasks/services (e. PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, ARM/Bicep, etc.- Expert proficiency with Terraform.- Experience with consuming REST APIs with scripting or code and ability to read and understand reference documentation.- Experience in development, build, and CI/CD tools such as git, GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.- Experience with development languages and frameworks such as C#, Django, Flask, React, Next, Vue, or .Net a plus.- Desktop virtualization experience preferred: VMware Horizon, Citrix Cloud, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop, Azure Virtual Desktops, Windows Virtual Desktop or equivalent.- Experience working in a client-oriented environment with delivery of quality professional documentation with excellent writing skills.- Interest in process optimization.
