Description:
Job Description : Years of experience needed : 6+ years. Skill set : -SQL DBA with Cloud and OnPrem skill. Technical Skills : - Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure SQL Server database environments.- Perform database administration tasks such as backup/recovery, index maintenance, security, and performance tuning.- Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies to ensure efficient database operations.- Develop and implement database maintenance plans, policies, and procedures.- Provide database support for application development teams and assist with database-related issues.- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions.- Manage database upgrades, migrations, and consolidations.- Ensure data integrity and security through proper access controls and auditing.- Collaborate with other teams such as networking, system administration, and application development.- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to junior database administrators.Requirements :- Minimum of 10 years of extensive experience as a SQL Server DBA, with a strong focus on SQL Server versions 2012 and higher.- Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, administration, and performance tuning.- Expertise in database backup and recovery strategies, high availability solutions (e. , clustering, mirroring, log shipping), and disaster recovery.- Strong proficiency in T-SQL programming, query optimization, and indexing strategies.- Experience with database security practices, including data encryption, auditing, and access controls.- Knowledge of database lifecycle management, including upgrades, migrations, and consolidations.- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms (e. , Azure, AWS) for SQL Server deployments.- Experience with AWS RDS (Relational Database Service) for SQL Server.- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.- Excellent communication and documentation skills.- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or similar certification (Optional).- Experience with database performance monitoring and tuning tools (e. , SQL Profiler, Extended Events).- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools (e., PowerShell, SQL Server Agent).
