2 Positions - Architect & Sr. Architect.Job Description : As an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing MES solutions to improve manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the integration of MES software with existing systems, ensuring seamless communication between machines and databases, and providing strategic insight to enhance operational efficiency and productivity. Your expertise in PLC programming, database management, and project management will be essential in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities.- Lead the design and implementation of MES solutions tailored to specific manufacturing needs.- Integrate MES software with various manufacturing systems and equipment to ensure smooth operations.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define MES solution architecture.- Configure and customize MES applications to align with manufacturing processes and quality standards.- Experience and knowledge of Manufacturing shopfloor applications - OEE, MES, SPC, CMMS etc.- Experience working as a technical architect for mfg. shopfloor applications, preferably, MES and OEE.- Must have good knowledge and understanding of ISA-95 / ISA-88 standards for Mfg.- Experience working on SQL Server and sound knowledge of database concepts.- Knowledge of Data Analytics, KAFKA / Event streaming, data warehousing, CDC from a view of extraction, aggregation and visualization is a big advantage.- Optimize data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities within the MES environment.- Provide technical expertise in PLC programming to support MES integration with control systems.- Implement and maintain databases to store and manage real-time production data.- Develop and maintain documentation related to MES architecture, configurations, and interfaces.- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to MES functionality.- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.- Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and risk management activities.- Train and mentor team members in MES technologies and best practices.- Conduct system troubleshooting and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.- Stay updated with emerging MES technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.- Support the evaluation and selection of MES software and hardware components. Required Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.- Proven experience (10+ years) in designing, implementing, and optimizing MES solutions.- In-depth knowledge of MES software platforms, such as Wonderware, Rockwell, or Siemens.- Hands on experience in Oracle database covering PL/SQL programming, Installation, Configuration, Administration and Query Optimization.- Hands-on experience in MES functionality QA Testing with modules like Work In Progress, Tracking and Genealogy, Data Collection, Process Management, Scheduling and Dispatch, Quality Defect Management, Maintenance Management, MES Interface to Enterprise applications (Upstream) and Equipment (Downstream).- Total IT Industry Experience of 8 to 10 years and Experience in UNIX/ RHEL or OpenVMS Platform.- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including shop floor automation and control systems.- Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial communication protocols (e., Modbus, OPC-UA).- Expertise in database management and SQL for MES data storage and retrieval.- Experience with project management methodologies and tools for successful MES implementation.- Ability to analyze complex operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.- Certifications in MES technologies or related fields are a plus.- Proven track record of driving process improvements and optimizing manufacturing operations.- Solid understanding of regulatory standards (e., FDA, GMP) and their impact on MES design.- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior team members.- Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities.
