As a Database Developer at, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responsible for managing and optimizing both relational and non-relational databases. You will work closely with our data engineering and software development teams to ensure the efficient storage, retrieval, and management of large financial datasets, both structured and unstructured. If you are passionate about database technologies, enjoy working with diverse datasets, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.Objectives of this role- The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, and maintain databases that meet the organization's requirements for storing and analyzing financial data. - You will also be responsible for ensuring data integrity, security, and performance across various database platforms.Your tasks :- Design, develop, and optimize relational and non-relational databases to support the organization's financial data needs.- Implement data models, schemas, and indexing strategies to optimize database performance and scalability.- Collaborate with data engineering and software development teams to integrate database solutions into our applications and services.- Perform database tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability.- Implement data security measures, including access control and encryption, to protect sensitive financial information.- Develop and maintain documentation for database design, configuration, and best practices.- Stay current with emerging database technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation. Preferred skills and qualifications :- Familiarity with data security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS). - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Great attention to detail. - An analytical mind. - Capability to work in multiple projects simultaneously. - Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and prioritization skills. - Self-starter, highly motivated and an eye for detail. - Certification in database administration or related technologies. - Experience with cloud-based database platforms such as Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure Cosmos DB. - Knowledge of distributed database systems and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). - Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for database automation and CI/CD. - Previous experience in the financial services industry or a similar regulated environment.
