Job Description :At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.Our client, a global card and payments consulting firm is working on a project with a leading BFSI issuer client in India. The project is aimed at driving credit card acquisition and stimulating card spend through data-driven solutions.To support on this initiative, they are looking for a Data Analyst/Data Scientist with significant expertise in the banking or financial services sector, particularly in credit risk or portfolio management. The role is critical to a larger initiative to enhance portfolio management and acquisition strategies through advanced data analytics and modeling.Key Responsibilities :- Identify and analyze opportunities for credit card acquisition and spend stimulation- Prepare and process data for analysis- Develop and implement data models to support the project objectives- Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to enhance decision-making processesYour Background :- Minimum of 6-7 years of relevant data science and analytics experience- At least 2 years of experience in portfolio management or credit risk is highly desirable- Proficiency in Python, SQL, SAS, and Hadoop for data analysis and modeling- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to develop data models- Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders- Understanding of the payments and banking industry is preferredThis is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract with room for further extension. This project is based out of Mumbai, and the selected consultant would need to be onsite for the entirety of the project duration. (ref:hirist.tech)
