About the Role :We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Windows IT Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our Windows infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and efficient deployment of updates and upgrades. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of Windows technologies and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues and maintain a stable IT environment.Responsibilities :- Manage and automate Windows patching and deployment processes using Windows Update, Configuration Manager, or other relevant tools.- (Preferred) Design and implement Microsoft Autopilot for streamlined device deployment.- Perform Windows upgrades across various versions (Windows 7, 10, Server 2008-2019) with minimal disruption.- Manage Windows licensing across different models (Retail, OEM, MAK, KMS, E3, E5) to ensure compliance.- Conduct thorough enterprise-level troubleshooting to identify and resolve complex Windows issues.- Analyze logs related to Windows deployment and troubleshoot deployment-related problems.- Possess a strong understanding of the Windows as a Service (WaaS) model and update deployment strategies.Knowledge :- In-depth knowledge of Windows update mechanisms, deployment options, and troubleshooting techniques.- Troubleshooting expertise related to Windows Update, servicing, activation, BitLocker, MBAM, and imaging tools (Sysprep, WDS).Mandatory Skills :- Proven experience managing Windows Update and deployment processes.- Expertise in performing Windows upgrades and migrations.- In-depth understanding of Windows activation mechanisms and troubleshooting.- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory and its integration with Windows systems.Additional Skills (Preferred) :- Experience with Microsoft Autopilot for automated device deployment.- Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell) for automating tasks.- Experience with configuration management tools (e., SCCM) (ref:hirist.tech)
