Role : Automation TesterLocation : Mumbai Experience : 5 - 7 YearsHybrid work culturePrimary Function :In this role, you'll be required to work closely with Software Engineers in an Agile fashion to identify issues early and deliver high-quality features. You'll play a key role in planning activities, designing test frameworks and tools for test automation as well as creating automated test cases. Here you'll have the opportunity to work with Cypress in a micro architecture environment. Ideally, you come from an engineering background and have excellent programming skills in JavaScript/NodeJSPrincipal Duties & Responsibilities : This role will be :1. Part of a multi-disciplinary agile team2. Defining software quality assurance processes3. Making test automation tooling choices4. Making quality an integral part of the development process5. Custodian of quality and making sure non-functional and information security testing are not an afterthought in the software development life-cycle6. Working in an agile fashion and a promoter of agile (iterative) thinking7. Proactively interacting with stakeholders to understand requirements and subsequently translate them into stories with acceptance criteria8. Developing use cases and translate these for usage in automated regression testing9. Ensuring that a high level of data accuracy and integrity is maintained10. Keeping up-to-date with new releases and promptly identifying features which could add value to users.11. Identify features which will impact existing processes and require urgent attention12. Working with the development team troubleshooting issues raised by users to provide prompt resolution.13. Support junior members of the team14. Any other duties the company deem appropriate in the change of business circumstances.Preferred Education & Experience :1. Excellent understanding of automation framework2. Good experience with Cypress, Selenium or CucumberJS (Cypress preferred)3. BDD experience4. CI tools - Jenkins or similar5. Good understanding of performance and stress testing tools6. Excellent programming experience with JavaScript7. Understanding of Agile software development8. Github or Bitbucket9. Understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS)10. Understanding of Lambda functions11. Micro service architecture12. Understanding of Docker13. Mocha / Karma / Chai or similar assertion library14. Ideally coming from an eCommerce backgroundWork Environment : Collaborates closely with other members of the Zoro team and Grainger companies. (ref:hirist.tech)
