Role: Assistant Manager- ExcelLocation: MumbaiExperience: 7+ yearsSalary Band: Upto 9LPA ----------------------------------------------------------------- Roles and Responsibilities: The Project Assistant Manager oversees the implementation, and tracking of Scholarship Programs in Excel which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverable. Key Responsible Areas: The Project Assistant Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the Scholarship Program Activity and perform a wide range of duties including some or all of the following: Project Planning: Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully completethe project. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities Review the project schedule with Manager and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion. Relationship Management: Ability to effectively communicate to all stakeholders [KEF volunteers, parents, students, academic, support centers etc. Healthy peer and subordinate relationship and to effectively implement the instructions of the manager Very effective internal coordination and communication and ability to work as a member of teams Project Implementation: Execute the project according to the project plan.Oversee development of forms and records to document project activities Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project Review the quality of the work completed with the team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards Collaborate and coordinate with external stakeholders for ensuring successful implementation of the project Project reporting & control: Write reports on the project for PH and management Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation. Project Evaluation: Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase. Candidate Specification: Educational Qualification Post-graduation or Masters Degree in Management / MBA/Masters in Social Entrepreneurship or Non-profit Management, Post-graduation or Masters in Social Work/Social Sciences / Education Masters in Development Studies/Development Management Years of Experience 7+ Years in social sector, project planning or educational sector Technical Skills Self- starter, proactive in finding solutions Ability to lead the project independently with ownership Knowledge of standards and effective practices across multiple disciplines for education and community development. Critical thinking capacity and ability to think-out of the box Proven ability to work with external stakeholders to implement the project in collaborative manner Other Skills Learning Orientation: accepts mistakes and continuously seeks new knowledge and skills Excellent presentation, public speaking, negotiation and interpersonal skills Demonstrated experience utilizing an influential style of leadership Strong computer and technology skills, with familiarity in using computer and web based applications (Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel, online portals for MIS) Organized, team player, self-starter and results-oriented individual Attributes Analytical: breaks down problems and applies a methodical approach Organized: demonstrates concern for accuracy and detail Self-motivated: displays interest and persistence in doing the tasks at hand Integrity: achieves a high level of trust in relationships Adaptable: Willingness to stay in project locations and undertake field visits to remote rural areas. Values different points-of-view; remains open-minded to change Service orientation: anticipates and responds to needs of internal and external clients; makes sure needs are met Hours of work 8 hours 6 days a week (alternateSaturdays are weekly offs) Working Conditions : The job can involve working conditions that include8 hour shifts between 8 am to 7 pm. There are two week offs in a month apart from casual and privilege leaves.
