Detailed JD :As a Software Test Engineer, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products. Your responsibilities span the entire software development life cycle, from design to deployment. Here are the key aspects of your role :Test Engineering Activities :- Plan and execute test engineering activities, including test design, test case creation, test execution, and defect tracking, solving testability problems.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and create effective test plans.- Use various testing methods (e.g., functional, regression, performance, security) to validate software functionality.Risk Identification and Defect Prevention :- Leverage your software engineering skills to identify risks and potential defects within software components or systems.- Analyze code, architecture, and design to proactively address quality issues.- Work closely with developers to prevent defects early in the development process.Influencing Development Decisions :- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and other forums to provide recommendations for unit testing approaches.- Advocate for testability by suggesting design improvements that enhance test coverage and ease of testing.- Collaborate with developers to ensure code is testable and maintainable.Assisting Developers and Testers :- Design and construct technology solutions to support testing efforts.- Create test automation frameworks, tools, and utilities.- Mentor developers and testers on best practices for writing testable code.Technology Utilization :- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends related to testing.- Provide recommendations on how to leverage technology (e.g., test automation tools, continuous integration) to improve testing approaches.Continuous Improvement :- Continuously evaluate and enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools.- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements in software quality.
