About this role?You will be responsible for the roadmap of dunnhumby's cloud-based infrastructure platform, developed by the Infrastructure & Operations team. The Platform resides in both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.You will manage a small team of technical product owners and work closely with the engineers to develop the cloud infrastructure tools and services that meet dunnhumby's short term goals and their long-term vision. You will face out to the rest of the dunnhumby engineering and science teams to understand their requirements and work closely with the Head of Infrastructure & Operations, Chief Engineer and Chief Architect to balance the focus of the team across quality, performance, regulatory compliance, security and many other complex requirements. You will often work with our Product Engineering teams to understand how to apply our solutions to their unique circumstances.The capabilities we require :- To use the expert understanding of a significant proportion of dunnhumby's technical architecture to build and / or enhance our infrastructure.- Understand and be able to effectively communicate dunnhumby's proposition and product offering at an intermediate level.- Responsible for architecture and strategy in how we develop and deploy our capability, via our Infrastructure platform.- Develop architecture designs, logical and physical architectures as well as high level designs.- Certification on Google, Azure and AWS cloud platforms on solution architecture- Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices across the Infrastructure and Operations team.- Lead a team of Technical Product Managers to ensure they are driving the I&O squads' backlogs in the correct direction and ensure the correct business outcomes are being delivered.- Pro-actively identify opportunities for client solution, marketplace or other product improvements or efficiencies.- Act as the catalyst for change and modernization of the Infrastructure & Operations team.- Assist in creating technology roadmaps in line with business.- Work with teams and third-party vendors to architect the deployment of new technology ensuring high standards are maintained.- Have experience of managing complex relationships successfully both within and external to the team.What you can expect from us :We won't just meet your expectations : We'll defy them :- So, you'll enjoy the comprehensive rewards package you'd expect from a leading technology company.- But also, a degree of personal flexibility you might not expect.- Plus, thoughtful perks, like flexible working hours and your birthday off.- You'll also benefit from an investment in cutting-edge technology that reflects our global ambition.- But with a nimble, small business feel that gives you the freedom to play, experiment and learn.- And we don't just talk about diversity and inclusion.
