Description:

Responsibilities :- Design, implement, and maintain security controls to safeguard the company's IT infrastructure and data.- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity.- Investigate and respond to security incidents.- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies (i.e., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems).- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.- Collaborate with internal teams (IT operations, development) to ensure security best practices are followed.- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.- Provide security awareness training to employees.Qualifications :- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred).- 7-10 years of experience working in a Security Operations environment as an Information Security Engineer I or II.- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.- Certifications in specific security technologies such as Firewall, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or Checkpoint (highly preferred).- Demonstrated proficiency in routing and networking skills, including:1. Configuring BGP2. Identifying route origination based on routing tables3. Understanding and modifying route metrics4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Excellent time management and organizational skills (ref:hirist.tech)
