Description:
Responsibilities :- Design and develop test specifications based on various requirement documents for scheduled execution.- Conduct both functional and technical testing of ETL jobs, utilizing automation tools whenever possible.- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Big Data ETL to identify and design effective test scenarios.- Experience with Hadoop Hive is essential for testing data transformation and querying functionalities.- Expertise in automated testing frameworks is a plus, with Python/Spark experience being a valuable advantage.- Plan and execute all testing activities, including test preparation, automation, execution, and reporting.- Analyze test results and identify defects in data pipelines, logging them for proper tracking and resolution.- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools for ETL pipelines is a plus.- Experience with shell scripting for automation tasks within the testing process.- Prepare and maintain clear and concise test documentation for future reference.- Actively participate in test estimation efforts to ensure project success.- Provide timely status updates to the test manager and other stakeholders.Qualifications :- Minimum of [4years] experience in software testing methodologies and best practices.- A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a focus on testing.- In-depth knowledge of Big Data concepts and technologies, particularly Hadoop and Hive.- Experience with ETL testing methodologies and tools.- Proficiency in SQL and SQLDeveloper for data manipulation and querying.- Familiarity with Putty for accessing remote Big Data environments.- Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
