Location: Delhi/ NCR (Hybrid)Job Description :We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure SQL Database Lead to join our dynamic Database production support team. As an Azure SQL DB Lead, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Azure SQL databases, leading a team of DBAs, and ensuring the overall performance, security, and reliability of our database systems on the Azure platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our mission-critical databases.Key Responsibilities :- Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain Azure SQL databases ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and data integrity.- Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency. Implement proactive measures to ensure high availability and minimize downtime.- Security : Implement and maintain database security protocols, including user access management, data encryption, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.- Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data against loss or corruption. Conduct regular backup tests to ensure data integrity.- Troubleshooting: Respond to database-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical problems.- Scaling: Evaluate and implement scalable solutions to accommodate the growth of the database system and application requirements.- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to optimize database configurations, schema, and queries for application performance.- Performance Tuning: Analyse query performance and optimize SQL code. Recommendand implement improvements to enhance overall system performance.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (orequivalent work experience).- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with Azure SQL databases.- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and related technologies.- Strong proficiency in SQL and database query optimization.- Experience with database security, backup, recovery, and monitoring solutions.- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery configurations.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Certifications:- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.- If you are passionate about database administration, have a strong background in Azure SQL databases, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
