Position Summary Objective :Overseeing all technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by management. IT Head will oversee a team of IT managers/Executives and manage the company's technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies.Key Responsibilities :- Maintains information technology strategies.- Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals- Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees for a safe and secure network.- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.- Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.- Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed- Analyzing the business requirements of all business units to determine their technology needs- Completes projects by coordinating resources and timelines with various business units as per company goals- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software- Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and control budget, report on expenditure to managementSkills & Competencies :- Problem-solving skills: Strong problem-solving skills will allow you to identify problems within an organization's computer network.- Critical thinking skills: Excellent critical thinking skills will let you weigh all possible options and determine which will be most effective solutions to a problem.- Listening and speaking skills: These skills will help you communicate with your colleagues.- Reading comprehension skills: You'll need very good reading comprehension skills to understand written documentationQualification & Experience :15+ Years of experience. BSc/BE /B.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.Essential :- Proven experience as IT Head or similar role- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.- Experience in controlling information technology budget- Excellent organizational and leadership skills- Outstanding communication abilitiesPreferred :- A go getter and target oriented.- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure.- Initiative (think out-of-the box) and commitment to achieve- Innovation, Quality Orientation and Accuracy (ref:hirist.tech)
