Job Title : Data Modeler (Supply Chain Management)Qualification : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.Work Location : Indiranagar, Bangalore (Karnataka)Work Mode : Hybrid (Should be ready to work from office as in when required)Salary : Best in the Industry (Negotiable as per Industry Standards)Job Summary : As a Data Modeler (Supply Chain Management) you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an enterprise data model that describes how data is defined, modelled, processed, stored and utilized. The ideal candidate needs to have hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, and a strong understanding of database technologies including Teradata, SAP HANA, and Hadoop. Domain knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM) / Manufacturing processes and systems is essential.Job Responsibilities :1. Implement data strategies, build data flows and Data Mapping.2. Develop and Maintain Logical & Physical Data Models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.- Understand and translate business needs/requirements into Data Models supporting long-term solutions.- Work Closely with Data Architect to proliferate data entities through Logical Data Model.- Understand and translate business needs/requirements for DaaS capability and develop Canonical data models.3. Optimize and update Physical Data Models to support new and existing projects.- Work Closely with Data Architect to update dependencies in Logical Data Model.4. Maintain Physical Data Models along with corresponding metadata.- Metadata - Data Types, Data Glossary, Descriptions, Business Rules, Definitions etc.5. Develop best practices for standards and naming conventions and modelling to ensure consistency of data models.6. Recommend opportunities for reuse and enhance data models in new environments.7. Perform reverse engineering of Physical Data Models from databases and SQL scripts.8. Evaluate and perform analysis with Physical Data Models and physical databases (Data entities, objects, and values) for variances and discrepancies between designed v/s implemented.9. Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.10. Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.11. Develop Physical Data Models & Canonical data models in compliance with Enterprise Physical Data Model standards.- Participate in Enterprise Physical Data Model Standards forum.12. Collaborate with System/Solution Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and data interfaces. (Data related areas)13. Review modifications/updates to existing application system to improve efficiency and performance. (Data related areas)14. Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required. (Data related areas)Key Requirements :1. Proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role, preferably in the supply chain domain.2. Hands-on expertise with Erwin data modelling tools.3. Proficiency in database technologies such as Teradata, SAP HANA, and Hadoop.4. Should have experience in Azure Data Factory & Azure Data Bricks5. Domain knowledge of Manufacturing / Supply Chain Management processes and systems (e.g., APT, SAP SCM).6. Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration.7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.8. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications :1. Certifications related to data modeling (e.g., CDMP) or supply chain management (e.g., APICS).2. Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.3. Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning concepts applied to supply chain data. (ref:hirist.tech)
