Role Description :This is a full-time on-site role for a Linux Administrator located in Mumbai. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as Linux system administration, troubleshooting, technical support, and patch management. You will ensure the stability and security of our Linux systems and provide technical assistance to our team.Qualifications :- 5+ years of experience is required- Linux System Administration and System Administration skills- Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills- Patch Management skills- Experience in managing and maintaining Linux systems- Knowledge of networking principles and protocols- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills- Strong attention to detail- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks- Good communication and interpersonal skills- Relevant certifications (e.g. , Linux Certification, Red Hat Certified Engineer)Responsibilities :- Perform Linux system administration tasks including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems.- Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams, resolving issues related to Linux systems and applications.- Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring their stability, security, and optimal performance.- Implement and manage patch management processes to keep Linux systems up-to-date and secure.- Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure the reliability of Linux systems.- Collaborate with network engineers and other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux systems with network infrastructure and other systems.- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.- Stay updated on the latest developments in Linux technologies and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on our systems and operations.- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system alerts and emergencies as needed.- Provide training and mentorship to junior Linux administrators, sharing knowledge and best practices to support their professional development.
