Job overview: Targray currently has an opening for a newly created position titled Network Administrator to be based out of our regional office in Gurgaon, India. This position will: Provide fully functioning, robust and secure local and wide area networks for use by Targray employees, suppliers and customers. Perform network and workstation configuration, installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair. Assist end-users in the use of computing resources. Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Sr. Network Administrator: This position is responsible for monitoring network availability, security and performance, tracking trends, and making adjustments to current configurations to ensure optimum system performance. The scope of this position extends to the administration of the global Targray LAN and WAN infrastructure. The incumbent will perform regular capacity planning, and produce recommendations for additional hardware or data roll-off as required. The incumbent is to remain knowledgeable of all vendor products available, recommend use if applicable, install and maintain such options. This position is responsible for identifying, justifying, planning for and implementing software used to manage infrastructure and service desk support. The Network Administrator is responsible for the functionality, installation, upgrade, maintenance of all network software such as operating system, network management, e-mail and backup software This position is responsible for monitoring networks with the use of system management tools; reacting to any problems and making recommendations for proactive changes and improvements to the system. The Network Administrator will plan and execute system upgrades for the devices and workstations he/she is responsible for. The incumbent will collaborate closely other IS and Targray staff in problem resolution and will search for means to reduce common errors. This person will collaborate together with software, hardware and service providers as required for maintenance and problem resolution. As required the Network Administrator will create and deliver workstation training programs. The Network Administrator will share on call duties with other IS staff as assigned. Accountability Statements Is accountable to the IS Manager to: Ensure that local and wide-area networks are at peak operating efficiency and availability both locally and remotely across the enterprise. Use in-depth understanding of installed network & workstation hardware and software to manage the performance and availability of the corporate network. Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and standards. Interact with users to resolve system problems. Evaluate and monitor and system network security, make recommendations and execute improvement plans. Use people skills for dealing with users and user management. Monitor and test network performance and provide statistics and reports. Manage and administer all network hardware and equipment, including server, routers, switches, and hubs, and appliances. Apply upgrades and patches as appropriate. Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures for network administration. Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related position is required. (We need to emphasize on education in the Indian context) 3 to four years prior background. Experienced in supporting: Windows7, Windows 10 Android and iOS Server OS: Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2. Optional: Linux Office 365 apps, Microsoft office suite suite Demonstrable skills in installing, supporting and maintaining: Local and wide-area networks, and VPN technologies. Installing, configuring and maintaining workstation hardware. DNS, DHCP, RRAS, VPN, IPSEC, SUS (AD needs most emphasis, DFS, RADIUS) Office 365 management MS IIS Server Intrusion Detection Systems System Monitoring software Access and surveillance hardware and software Malware (Virus/Spyware/Adware) management Background with CRM application a plus. Solid background with monitoring IT systems. Should have worked with Help Desk system before. Mobile device management. Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule when required (i.e. upgrades and maintenance may be performed in off hours). Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
