Key Skills : STA, Synthesis, Pnr, sign offAs a Physical Design Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of advanced semiconductor products. You will be responsible for transforming logic designs into physical layouts that meet performance, area, and power targets. Your work will directly impact the success of our cutting-edge products and contribute to the advancement of technology in various industries.Key Responsibilities : - Collaborate with the RTL design and backend implementation teams to develop and optimize physical design methodologies- Perform floor planning to achieve optimal placement of digital and mixed-signal blocks- Utilize place and route tools to achieve timing closure and deliver designs that meet performance targets- Conduct physical verification to ensure design integrity and manufacturability- Optimize power distribution networks and minimize IR drop and electromigration issues- Generate and deliver comprehensive design documentation for review and sign-off- Participate in design reviews and provide input for design improvements- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and implementation challenges- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging physical design technologiesRequired Qualifications : - Proven experience in VLSI design and physical design methodologies- Proficiency in using industry-standard CAD tools, especially Cadence Innovus and Encounter- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM)- Expertise in static timing analysis, clock tree synthesis, and power planning- Familiarity with scripting languages such as TCL, Perl, or Python- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex design and tool issues- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail for thorough design verification and optimization- Experience with physical design of high-performance, low-power designs is a plusLocation : Bangalore (ref:hirist.tech)
