Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Liferay DXP Upgrade and Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and successful upgrade of our Liferay DXP platform to version 7.4, while also maintaining and enhancing our existing functionalities.Responsibilities:- Lead the upgrade process for Liferay DXP from prior versions (7.1, 7.2, 7.3) to version 7.4, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.- Upgrade existing Liferay themes and modules, adapting them to the new Liferay 7.4 architecture and functionalities.- Develop new themes from scratch, adhering to best practices for a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.- Update and migrate Liferay service hooks and JSP fragments to ensure compatibility with Liferay 7.4.- Leverage your expertise in Java 8 features to optimize code efficiency and functionality.Technical Skills:- Proven experience leading Liferay DXP upgrade projects, ideally from versions 7.1, 7.2, or 7.3 to 7.4.- Strong understanding of Liferay DXP architecture, modules, themes, hooks, and JSP fragments.- Experience in developing and customizing Liferay themes using Liferay APIs and best practices.- Solid foundation in Java programming with a focus on Java 8 features.- UI Technologies (Optional but beneficial)- Experience with Liferay UI technologies like AUI, JQuery, ClayUI, React, and Freemarker.Additional Skills:- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
