Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Test Performance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance testing strategies to ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our software applications. This role requires strong technical skills, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of performance testing methodologies and tools.Responsibilities:- Performance Testing Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies and plans for both new and existing software applications.- Performance Test Design: Design and create performance test scenarios, scripts, and simulations to accurately simulate real-world usage patterns and stress conditions.- Test Execution: Execute performance tests using industry-standard tools and frameworks, monitoring system performance metrics and identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization.- Performance Analysis: Analyze performance test results to identify performance issues, root causes, and areas for improvement. Work closely with development teams to implement performance optimizations and fixes.- Scalability Testing: Conduct scalability testing to evaluate the application's ability to handle increasing workloads and user traffic, making recommendations for capacity planning and infrastructure scaling as needed.- Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain performance monitoring solutions to continuously monitor system performance in production environments, proactively identifying and addressing performance issues.- Documentation: Document performance testing processes, methodologies, findings, and recommendations, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing across teams.- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product owners, to ensure performance requirements are understood and addressed throughout the development lifecycle.- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance testing and optimization, actively seeking opportunities to improve performance testing processes and tools.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.- 6+ years of experience in performance testing roles, with a proven track record of designing and executing performance testing strategies for complex software applications.- Expertise in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar.- Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, including load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing.- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.- Experience with performance monitoring tools and solutions, such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Prometheus.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex performance issues.- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.- ISTQB Performance Testing certification or similar is a plus.
