Job Title : Senior System Engineer. Experience : 7+ years. Location : Bangalore. Work Mode : Hybrid. The organization is a worldwide leader in insurance technology and is currently searching for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Corporate IT team. This role will be responsible for building out and maintaining our future computing environments both in the cloud and in on-premise data centers. The role will have a heavy focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy, growing environment, working highly collaboratively and driving business results.Essential Functions :- Design and build cloud and on-premise infrastructure.- Build, configure and deploy new software packages.- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation.- Develop playbooks to guide all skill levels for incident response.- Deploy on-premise and cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.- Perform RCA as part of incident response.- Install, upgrade and management of VMware.- Develop and implement monitoring technologies such as DataDog to ensure optimal uptime metrics and ease troubleshooting of production issues.- Manage and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in GCP and Azure using IaaS models.- Respond to escalated infrastructure service desk tickets.- Perform upgrades and other maintenance during non-business hours.- Function as part of an on-call rotation for out-of-hours incidents (typically one week every two months).- Define and implement best practices for disaster recovery.- Work closely with the information security organization to remediate any identified security vulnerabilities.- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate manager or management team.Key Performance Outcomes :- Completing projects within a designated time frame.- Comply with all policies and procedures defined by Change Management.- Complete Organization Cloud projects and change requests according to schedule, minimizing or eliminating human error, downtime, or financial concessions.- Reported issues are managed in a timely, efficient manner with appropriate escalations internally across teams and functions.- Exhibits behaviours that exemplify the Organization's Core Values. Required Skills & Experience :- High School diploma (required), BA or BS degree preferred.- 7+ years of experience as a senior engineer in a mid to large-scale enterprise.- Strong organization skills and the ability to multitask.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Attention to detail.- Windows Server 2019/2022.- Azure.- GCP.- PowerShell.- Terraform.- VMWare.Nice to have skills :- Linux- Nutanix.- Ansible.- Data center migrations.- Experience working with APIs for automation (Microsoft Graph, Jira, Okta).
