Summary: The Sr. Specialist Integrations Developer is responsible for design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of required Integrations by JDS/Hollister Business functions. The Sr. Specialist Integrations Developer works with the Business Analysts, Application Owners and/or Business Relationship Operational Managers – Operational (BRMs) to understand / clarify integration requirements and then constructs required integrations between systems. The Sr. Specialist Integrations Developer will take care of end-to-end (from design to support) Integrations development for existing and new Integrations at JDS/Hollister for both Application to Application (A2A) and Business to Business (B2B, aka Electronic Data Interface (EDI)) transactions. The Sr. Specialist Integrations Developer assumes responsibility for all aspects of Integrations development, support and technical management working across Global IT teams. The Sr. Specialist Integrations Developer plays a crucial role in formulating strategies for the optimal utilization of Integrations tools, techniques, methodologies, and technologies within the organization. Responsibilities: • Partners with the Business, the Business Analysts (BA) and/or the BRM (Business Relationship Manager; Operational) o Brainstorms solution options working closely with the BA’s brining optimal technical approaches working together resolving business problems and identifying appropriate required documentation, data and logic. o Consults with the BA when additional information and/or data is needed as solutions are implemented. • Integration Work o Design, develop, unit test, and implement integrations using the standard toolset / platform adhering to established design standards. o Follow Waterfall and/or Agile/Kanban methodologies for project execution and delivery. o Coordinate with other developers, ensuring integration projects are completed on time. o Work closely with architects and other team members to ensure integrations align with overall system architecture. o Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner. o Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. o Document integration processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. • Training and Documentation: o Creates and maintain system, operations, and Integration partner documentation. Create and maintain design and test documentation in accordance with established methodology and standards including but not limited to Integration Standards, Environment Variables, Deployment Checklists and Support documentation. • Effectively partner with other IT groups to deliver IT services. o Collaborate with PMO, Enterprise Architecture, Automation, Application Development, Systems Engineering, Business Analysts, and Database Architecture functions to meet business needs while ensuring application Global IT standards and procedures are followed. • Establish and track appropriate metrics and key performance indicators. o Implement processes, tools, and supports ongoing service level measurement metrics and reporting. o Maintain and support processes and ensures ongoing communication of such processes to internal teams and business customers. • Identify avenues for continuous improvement for services within scope of responsibility, including new approaches and processes that would contribute to improvements within department and to business growth/efficiency in the wider organization. o System Integration Strategies: Formulating effective strategies and designing architectures for seamless system integrations. o Adherence to Best Practices: Maintain, implement best practices for Boomi development and deployment and ensuring these best practices related to integration processes are followed within the organization. o Remain current with emerging industry standards, including obtaining and/or maintaining required certifications in the integration space. o Envision and introduces new capabilities to meet business standards. o Maintain in-depth working knowledge of business and technology. o Assist with the development of policies, procedures, and technologies. • Integration Tool knowledge, self-training, and alignment to industry technologies o Continuously trains self on latest Integration technologies including tools, methods and features to be current in an environment where multiple integration tools are at play. • Perform other duties as assigned related to this function globally. • Coach and mentor junior integration developers • Production Support o Maintaining a centralized logging system for all integration traffic which provides visibility on all traffic passed through built integrations. o Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Regularly monitoring existing integrations and systems to identify any issues or anomalies. When problems arise, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing the root cause and implementing fixes promptly. o Bug Fixes and Enhancements: Addressing bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior in integrations. This includes debugging code, adjusting configurations, and ensuring that data flows correctly between systems. o Adapting to Changes: As business requirements evolve, you’ll need to modify existing integrations to accommodate new features, data sources, or system updates. o User Support: Providing assistance to Integration partners, BA’s (BRM, AO) who encounter integration-related problems. This may involve answering queries, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth operation. Essential Functions of the Role**: • Talk on phone with supplies and Hollister Associates. • Read technical manuals / trade journals. • Use a personal computer with a strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel. • Travel via airplane or automobile. • Lift up to 40 lbs. Work Experience Requirements • 8 + years of experience as an Integrations developer • 3 + years of hands-on working experience in Boomi • Experience implementing integrations for EDI Education Requirements • BS/BA - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge: • Experience working closely with BA’s in implementing integrations aligned with organizational goals. • Boomi: Extensive experience in designing and implementing integrations using the Boomi platform. • Integration Patterns: Strong understanding of various integration patterns such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, ODATA, messaging queues, and file-based integrations. • Agile/Kanban: Proficient in Agile and/or Kanban methodologies with experience working in Agile teams. Familiarity with other project management methodologies. • Programming Languages: Solid understanding of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Groovy or similar and development of Boomi integrations using custom scripts. • API Management: Experience with API management tools and techniques. • EDI: B2B EDI Integration, Understanding of EDI documents and standards. • Expertise in technologies such as XML, WSDL, XSD, and JSON. • Experience with communication protocols – AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, HTTP/S, File I/O, etc. • SAP IDoc knowledge. • Strong understanding of business processes related to SAP. • Experience building interfaces with SAP SuccessFactors. • In-depth hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing different types of integration patterns of varied complexity involving different data formats. • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases and SQL. • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex integration issues and provide effective solutions. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including administrators, developers, engineers, networking team members and architects. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Capability to articulate complex technical features in simple terms for a business audience. • Capability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integrations, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. • Familiarity with Office 365. • Attention to detail for spotting and fixing errors in complex code. • Analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Independence in task execution. • Good presentation and report-writing. Non-Mandatory Skills (Preferred): • Salesforce integration • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • CI/CD: Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment practices and tools (eg: DevOps) • Microservices Architecture: Understanding of microservices architecture principles. • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems like Git. • Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
