Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate is an analytical professional with a proactive approach to their work. This role involves maintaining and updating accounting records, assisting with account reconciliations and analysis, and contributing to various reports. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and Update Accounting Records Ensure accurate and up-to-date accounting records through meticulous record-keeping. Input data, post transactions, and categorize entries in QuickBooks to maintain a balanced and efficient automated consolidation system. Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, providing valuable insights for decision-making. Execute general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Contribute to special projects and initiatives as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability. Invoicing and Cash Application Perform the invoicing process and manage the cash application to support the financial operations of the organization. Support External Auditors: Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audit processes. Perform any necessary administrative duties, such as auditing customer records, ensuring compliance with established procedures. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Minimum of 3 years' experience in general staff accounting. Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of GAAP Strong understanding of Accounting theory Other Requirements Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Proficiency with Spreadsheets Great attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to meet assigned deadlines Powered by JazzHR
