Job Description :The Systems Analyst : Support is responsible for providing support and troubleshooting for end users and customers for various applications. This is responsible for documenting and resolving service tickets in a timely manner. The Systems Analyst : Support assists with technology implementation and configuration of applications.Primary Duties :- Provides technical support for application issues by performing root cause analysis and technical solutions- Monitor routine and critical processes and workflows and proactively identify problem trends- Ensure compliance with IT policies such that all incidents/requests are classified and change control protocols are followed.- Provides after hours technical support and reports production issues to the appropriate leaders.- Develops and maintains application documentation, training material and administrative policies.- Identifies and performs application enhancements or upgrades when applicable- Uses configuration and administrative tools to ensure correct system processes are being followed.- Manages data analysis activities- Provide continuously to opportunities to operations and end users to better utilize applications- Assists with application implementations and configuration- Other duties as required and assigned.Requirements :- Bachelor's degree in Information technology from a 4 year college or university.- Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience- Knowledge of programming/scripting- Understanding of web technology- Understanding of SQL Server or Oracle database management systems- Knowledge of 3rd party logistics, transportation systems and/or warehouse applications preferred- PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook.Essential Skills :- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
