Position Overview :We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau and Alteryx Administrator with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team.The ideal candidate will have expertise in administering Tableau and Alteryx servers, including installation, upgrades, maintenance, and security management.As a Tableau and Alteryx Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our Tableau and Alteryx environments.Key Responsibilities :Installation and Upgrades :- Perform installations and upgrades of Tableau and Alteryx servers to the latest stable versions on Windows Server environments.- Plan and prepare for software upgrades on a quarterly basis, coordinating with client SMEs and obtaining necessary approvals.Coordination and Issue Resolution :- Coordinate with the Product team to address any issues encountered during or after installation, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.SSL Certificate Management :- Generate SSL certificates for Tableau and Alteryx servers to secure data transmission and ensure compliance with security standards.Application Side Maintenance :- Perform application-side maintenance tasks during server patching, including testing compatibility, applying updates, and verifying system integrity.Server Health Checks :- Maintain and perform periodic health checks on Tableau and Alteryx servers, monitoring disk space consumption, system performance, and resource utilization.- Identify and address any issues or anomalies to prevent downtime and ensure uninterrupted service availability.User Management and Security :- Manage user accounts and permissions within Tableau and Alteryx environments, ensuring proper access controls and data security.- Implement security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and comply with regulatory requirements.Qualifications and Skills :- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 5 to 8 years of experience as a Tableau and Alteryx Administrator or similar role.- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Tableau and Alteryx servers on Windows Server environments.- Experience performing software upgrades and patch management for Tableau and Alteryx environments.- Knowledge of SSL certificate management and encryption techniques for securing data transmission.- Strong understanding of server maintenance tasks, including disk space management and system health monitoring.- Familiarity with user management and security practices within Tableau and Alteryx environments.- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders.- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, capable of troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.- Certification in Tableau Server Administration or Alteryx Server Administration is a plus.
